Club Telescopes

BAS owns several telescopes for use by members in good standing who would like to get hands-on experience using telescopes of various sizes before investing in their own observing equipment. These telescopes are also available for use by BAS members at special events such as Astronomy Day.

The policy for borrowing privileges can be found here. The policy describes in detail the specific requirements and procedure for checking out a BAS loaner telescope.

The table above will be updated on a regular basis so that all BAS members will know the current location of each BAS telescope. We hope this improves the availability of the telescopes for BAS members.
